If you are unsure on how to measure your window for the correct length of pole or track then these three simple steps will help you.

1. Measure the inside of the window making sure you measure from the edge of the wall both sides, this is your Window Recess.
2. Measure the outside of the window at least 15cm (approx 6 inches) from the edge of the wall on both sides of the window (marked on the diagram as H).
3. Now by using the simple formula you can calculate the length of pole or track required. Window Recess + (H + H) = Pole Length

Remember do not include the finial length in your total pole length.

Most poles can be cut to size easily so if you are unsure of the length you need then choose a bigger size and trim accordingly.
